Curricula and teaching programmes

ADPMS course I completed was very good. Projects helped a lot in learning. For my final project at Persistent Systems I had to reproduce a research paper and that moment I felt that such an exercise as a part of the curriculum would have benefited.

Teachers

I am grateful to all teachers from CMS, CDAC, NCL, Statistical and Physics Dept. as well as visiting and honorary teachers for their teachings and conviction. However course given by computer science dept was worst.

Overall experience

My overall experience was excellent and enriching. I found the environment at CMS to be very encouraging and resourceful. The overall learning and training gained is helping in the long run. For the first time I learned the power of "googling". I found very big difference at CMS compared to my prior education. All teachers were available to clear doubts and reexplain any time. Lab was available off working hours.

Impact on career and growth

Definitely yes. Based upon my projects done in the CMS course, I was selected under the exchange program between University of Pune and University of Cagliari,Italy. It laid a strong foundation for my further career. Also, I gained the aptitude to do things out of the box.

Advice for current and future students

religiously follow teachers and make the best use of resources

Which direction should CMS grow in?

I wish CMS will emerge as one of the premier center in the field of research, industry etc. and the knowledge gained will significantly contribute in the development and progress of science.

Further thoughts

I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the entire faculty of ADPMS course and the staff as well. Congratulations for completing 12 years and best wishes for the future.
