| Description |
We have been actively engaged in the development of software for ab initio treatment of large molecules for the past several years. The project is supported by NSM, and is operational at SCMS-SPPU. It is planned to organize a series of two or three workshops on MTASpec, a package developed by us for calculating energy and IR/Raman spectra of large molecules using ab initio methods. The package is especially useful for closed-shell organic molecules. The first online workshop of the series will be held for 3 days (about 4 hours every day) in the fourth week of September 2021. It will comprise of lectures and hands-on training. The workshop will be open to Ph. D. students interested in quantum chemical calculations, and who have good familiarity with the use of Gaussian package. The number of seats in the first workshop is limited. In view of this, are requested to forward the scanned copies of duly filled applications (in the enclosed format) of a few selected candidates from your department, so as to reach us by August 20, 2021.
