Applications are invited from the aspirants having flair in scientific computing, for the post of Senior Project assistant to work at Department of Scientific Computing, Modelling and Simulation, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune 411 007 on a research project funded by the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). Please note that this post is purely on temporary basis and strictly for the stipulated period of the project.

Tenure of the Post

Initially for 1 year; extendable by a maximum of 8 months depending upon the performance and/or the continuation of the project.

Monthly Emoluments

Senior Project Assistant: Rs. 50,000/- (consolidated)

Eligibility and Essential Qualifications

Senior Project Assistant (SPA): B.E./M.Sc. with computer science/scientific computing/IT/Physics/Chemistry with 2 or 3 years of experience in computing/programming. Fresh Ph.D. (computational physics/chemistry) degree holders with programming skills may also apply.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates of SC category may apply for the appropriate post by sending an application (strictly in the prescribed format) via email to gadre@unipune.ac.in with subject line as “Application for the post of SPA on NSM project 2019” on or before October 30, 2020. Do not attach any certificates/mark lists etc.

Selection procedure

There will be screening of all the applications. Candidates found suitable in preliminary screening will be called for the interview via email only. No separate interview call letter will be sent. The selected candidates are expected to join within one week from the date of the offer letter.
